Field Guide Training South Africa

Zululand

Our bush Camp is found in the heart of KwaZulu Natal's wild and diverse wilderness region known as the Elephant Coast. It lies adjacent the Greater St. Lucia Wetland Park's Mkhuze Game Reserve and in close proximity to Hluhluwe Game Reserve and the Sodwana Bay Coastal Reserve, renown for its coral reefs, nesting turtles and abundant marine life.

The zululand bush incorporates five distinct habitats - one of which is the unique and pristine sand forest that is home to an abundance of wildlife including leopard, rhino and buffalo. The reserve is also a haven to over 380 bird species many of them rare and only found in this region.

The area provides a relaxing experience for guests wanting to get away to a secluded, comfortable bush lodge which gives one a sense of being in, and part of the wild African bush.

Ferdie Muller offers a range of appealing field guide and environmental courses that will broaden your knowledge and experience of the wild. Students are accommodated in our Training Bush Camp in comfortable safari tents, set in the beautiful sand forest.
