Introductory Field Guide Course
This course runs over 26 days and starts on a Monday and covers the following aspects as suggested by the industry.
 • Guiding in the natural environment • Creating a guided nature experience • Geology, soils, and landscape • Weather & Climate • Taxonomy • Botany & Grasses • The Class Amphibia (amphibians) • The Class Pisces (Fish) • The Class Mammalia (mammals) • Conservation management • Astronomy • Ecology • Biomes of Southern Africa • The Class Insecta (insects) • The Class Reptilia (reptiles) • The Class Aves (birds) • Animal behaviour • Historical human habitation • Tracking • Weapons and weapon handling (theory as well as practical) • Bush driving and vehicle maintenance (theory as well as practical). • Registered First Aid course with certificate

Intermediate Field Guide Course
This course run by Ferdie Muller on the Elephant Coast in KwaZulu Natal, runs over 26 days and starts on a Monday. The Intermediate Field Guide Course covers all aspects as suggested in the Introductory Field Guide Course, but at a higher level with more practical exposure.
